CultuurLocaal in Barendrecht organized the annual Top2000 evening on Friday, December 13th. The event featured bands of students performing songs from the famous hit list. The BaerneZaal was beautifully decorated and filled with people eager not to miss this musical extravaganza.
Seven bands were assembled for the evening, comprising singing and instrumental students. Each band was tasked with rehearsing two songs in preparation for the event. Over the past few months, students practiced outside of their regular lessons under the guidance of CultuurLocaal's band coaches.
All students, including those playing classical instruments like cello, violin, flute, and clarinet, had the opportunity to participate in the event. Jos Vis, the presenter, smoothly guided both participants and the audience through the evening, introducing each band and engaging the crowd between performances.
CultuurLocaal's chairman, Arno Schippers, expressed his gratitude to everyone involved in making the evening a success and commended the high level of performance during the concert. The event concluded with a lively rendition of David Bowie's 'Let's Dance,' bringing the concert to a memorable close.
